Karassana
HATN project that have been completed
Karassana is a new community for HATN. Over 250 children were struggling to get an education in one 3-room dilapidated and unsafe building. HATN completed construction of a new 3-room school and latrines, furniture, and school supplies. An additional 3-room building will follow along with a tower well.
HATN designed and provided an “ambulance”, a motorcycle with a cab. Village members pay a small fee that goes to gas and maintenance, a program completely managed by the community council. The distance to the hospital for those that need more serious medical care is almost impossible with the modes of transport available within the village.
