Our founder, Greg and his wife Donnalea arrived in West Africa, eager to help, support and make a different in the communities they were staying in.
The trip began by lending a hand towards the beginning steps to building a school.
HATN loaned the community of Doneguela money to purchase 2 motorcycles and a solar fridge so they can store and distribute much needed vaccines in this remote community. The repayment will go back into the community for women’s programs.
Here are some pictures of local helping to make bricks for the school’s foundation. Nothing is easy in Mali and where there is a will there is a way.
“Over 200 women in Mana going to school 4 days a week from 1-4 during the dry season. They are grateful as they are learning to write and they are now understanding measurement for the market place” – Greg, HATN Founder
Thank you to our volunteers for all of your help, you have made such a big impact on a community. This is something you won’t forget. Helping people live better.
